Have you ever felt too deep for a shallow world? Too quiet and thoughtful in a sea of outspoken voices? Too Christian even among your Church friends?
I know what it’s like to wonder where you fit in because you think you’re too much. I’ve been the quiet girl in the corner, the one who goes to Youth Group for more than the food and games, and the old soul who desires more than the small talk. I know what it’s like to want more, and not just more, but more genuine.
We are living in a world of lies.
A world of fakes.
A world of superficial chitchat in which attractiveness is more welcome than authenticity.
But the good news is, we have all been called by name into an abundantly deeper way of life. There is One who promises life to the full for His followers, and unlike the rest, He will always deliver on those promises. We don’t have to wade in the shallow end any longer. We don’t have to discuss the weather when what we really want is the truth about ourselves and the world around us.
I want to write the truth about this Man. I want my words to reach their full potential for His glory. I want to redefine chitchat because small talk won’t get us anywhere. We can only find our true voice in Jesus.
