The Grave is Empty and my Heart is Full | Happy Resurrection Sunday!!

Today is a wonderful, glorious morning because it’s Resurrection Sunday! Today, some 2,000 years ago, my Savior rose from the grave, and now He lives forever with His saints to reign. Death itself could not defeat Him then, and I firmly believe that Covid-19 can not defeat Him now!

In some ways, this has been the best Holy Week I’ve ever experienced. Being isolated in my home has led to my going outside a lot, and I’ve listened to several worship songs while walking down the sidewalk. There’s something about the outdoors that makes prayer so much more engaging; I don’t why I’ve never gone on prayer walks by myself before! Being unable to physically meet as a church has led me to watch several online services instead of just my own church’s, and in a way it’s been more meaningful because instead of going through the motions of going to church, I’ve been intentionally and personally seeking out other resources. Don’t get me wrong… I love my church and I’m dying to be able to meet in person again. But this time of seeking God’s face by myself and having one-on-one time with Him has been absolutely amazing. I may have missed out on church camp last week, but I certainly didn’t miss out on God!

Because I’m a huge fan of Mark Batterson and his church in DC–National Community Church–I’ve been checking out their social media pages and I’ve decided to join them in their 40-day challenge.  For 40 days, starting today, I’m going to be on my knees at 7:14 am (watch the video in the link for the significance) and praying for our world. I read Mark Batterson’s book The Circle Maker while I was on vacation in October and am SO excited to finally be taking the challenge. Though I don’t pray nearly enough, I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I believe that God can do immeasurably more than you could ever imagine in 40 days if you’re willing to ask Him… so I’m going to ask Him.

Today is Day 1 of the rest of my life, of the best of my life. Today is day 1 of asking God to forgive my sins and heal our land. Today is day 1 of world revival. I believe whole-heartedly that God is going to move in my life and in the world around me as I seek Him during the next 40 days. I’m believing God for a miracle, and you can too.

Even in the chaos of the coronavirus, we can find peace in Christ. Even in the upheaval that it has brought, we can stand firm in the hope that He has promised us. Even in the twists and turns of life, we can trust God because no tunnel can dim the Light of the world!!

The invitation of salvation is freely given to each and every one of you. No matter where you are, who you are, or what you have done, Jesus went to the cross for YOU. He deeply loves YOU. And more than anything, He longs for you to accept His gift of forgiveness. All you have to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you WILL. BE. SAVED. (Romans 10:9) His promise of eternal life is available to all of us because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

If you have questions or need more guidance on the topic of salvation, you can check out The Truth and please reach out to your local church. They will be more than happy to walk you through it. Or, if you’re more comfortable doing it here, you can reach out to me using the form below and I will do my best to answer your questions. I don’t know all there is to know, but I do know the important things… JESUS SAVES. Jesus loves you. Jesus is calling you into a beautiful relationship with Him that can never be broken. And it’s all a repentance and prayer away.

If you do make a decision for Christ today, I would absolutely love to hear about it! You can use the form below to let me know and I will pray for you!

As for me, I will rejoice in the Lord. I will seek His face even when I’m surrounded by disease and despair. I will yet praise Him because He went to the cross for me. The tomb is forever empty and my heart is forever full!!!!!

Happy Resurrection Sunday, everyone. May God bless you and may you find fullness of joy in His presence now and forevermore. The King is on His throne and our victory is in His hands! He’s got you and He loves you dearly.

In Christ now and always,
~CoCo ❤
